Ecosystem Restoration Program Specialist

About the role

As an Ecosystem Restoration Program Specialist, you will provide program support for Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (GCERC) restoration activities, including knowledge and application of best available science, technical and policy analysis, and technical assistance. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience supporting the oversight and implementation of coastal protection and/or restoration projects, including monitoring recipient performance utilizing knowledge of grant administration regulations, policies and procedures AND Providing technical assistance, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and program requirements, including providing guidance or training materials, and developing technical or scientific content to communicate program results to diverse audiences AND Conducting data analysis with the goal of assessing large-scale coastal protection and restoration to ensure consistency with laws and best available science. For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Assisting in the implementation of coastal protection and/or restoration projects, including monitoring recipient performance utilizing knowledge of grant administration regulations, policies and procedures AND Experience providing support of technical assistance to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and program requirements, including providing guidance or training materials, and developing technical or scientific content to communicate program results to diverse audiences AND Performing data analysis to support the assessment of coastal protection and restoration efforts, helping ensure consistency with applicable laws, regulations, and best available science In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
