Retail Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Sales & Customer Experience
• Lead by example: Actively serve customers on the sales floor to achieve store sales targets.
• Service Excellence: Ensure customers receive a good shopping experience
• Complaint Handling: Resolve customer feedback and service recovery issues with professionalism and empathy.
• Team Management & Development
• Training: Coach a small team (2-3 staff) on product knowledge
• Scheduling: Create weekly rosters that balance operational needs with staff well-being
• Performance: Conduct monthly one-on-one reviews to track KPIs and provide feedback.
• Operations & Visual Merchandising
• Inventory Control: Manage stocktakes, cycle counts, and timely transfers between the shop and warehouse.
• Ensure the shop is always clean and organized.
• Manage cash, opening/closing procedures, and POS system accuracy.
• Communicate clearly in English to interact effectively with customers and team members
• Use interpersonal skills to engage positively with customers and colleagues during daily interactions
• Apply customer service orientation to provide a helpful and friendly shopping experience

Job Summary You will support daily store operations by organizing merchandise displays, assisting customers with inquiries and feedback, accurately performing cashier duties, and managing stock levels to maintain inventory control.
