Responsibilities

  • As a Government Affairs Executive, you will serve as the expert and liaison for our organization, supporting the views and interests of the organization. You will do this by...

  • Acting as a company representative before state policymakers, regulators, and trade associations.
  • What it Takes :
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Required, with an advanced degree ( MBA, JD ) being desired
  • Minimum five years of related work experience , 7-10 years of related experience is preferred
  • E xperience in a State D O I, and N AIC, or r egulatory agency dealing with insurance financial services , state legislator or political campaign , think - tank public policy organization or trade association , corporate government relations department especially in the financial services industry
  • A bility to be a registered lobbyist in priority states
  • Fa miliarity with workers compensation and / or personal auto regulations / compliance
  • Familiarity with state and federal ethics and election laws
  • E xcellent communications and influencing skills, including strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • S trong composure skills including the ability to work calmly and effectively in high stress situations
  • Q uick analytical thinker, who was able to effectively synthesize, translate, and summarize complex policy topics for use by internal and external stakeholders
  • E xceptional attention to detail and proven ability to self-direct work
