About the role

The Truth is looking for a Facilities Manager who will be responsible for the overall facilities within the venue, including repairs, upkeep, venue maintenance, exterior cleanliness, painting, etc. This position works with and reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for overseeing all facility operations, maintenance activities, and building systems to ensure the venue remains safe, clean, and operationally ready at all times. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO - Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, counsels and disciplines facilities and maintenance staff to ensure maximum guest satisfaction. Organizes and conducts meetings and communicates pertinent information to the staff. - Schedules and directs staff in their work assignments - Conducts pre-event inspections of all venue areas, prior to opening to ensure cleanliness of areas - Ensures and makes arrangements to repair and/or replacement of used damaged equipment. Purchases, re-orders and maintains adequate supplies and inventory of facility supplies including but not limited to (Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Soap, Towels, Light Bulbs, Batteries, Paint, Gaff Tape, etc.) Coordinate ongoing maintenance needs, including repairing chairs, painting, and other facility projects. Plan weekly work lists for Facilities Crew. - Any other task as assigned by the Operations Manager As part of the venue leadership team, establishes and maintains a positive and supportive workplace culture Partner with fellow staff members at the end of show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables or trash from the venue, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as chairs, barricade, Etc. Assist with maintaining the Plaza / Exterior of the venue. (maintaining cleanliness of outdoor Plaza, keeping planters free of debris, loading dock areas tidy, etc.) - Work with scheduling payroll administrator to ensure that all staffing needs are met - Budget appropriately for each show's needs while working to reach the overall operating per/head goal WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING - High School Diploma or equivalent - Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite - Attention to detail, quality and accuracy - Strong relationship building and communication skills - Ability to work independently - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting.
