About the role

This position is part of the Office of Electricity, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency with which assigned DOE organizations and their components carry out their programs and functions. BASIC REQUIREMENT: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: Experience analyzing complex programs or projects, including evaluating their effectiveness, efficiency, and adherence to regulations or established policies, and developing data-driven recommendations for improvement. This includes performing in-depth data analytics, such as quantitative, statistical, and comparative analysis, to identify gaps, patterns, and trends. Experience with the planning, execution, and monitoring of program budgets and financial resources, ensuring compliance with relevant financial policies and regulations, and making recommendations for fiscal optimization. Experience preparing and delivering official reports, briefings, and other professional documents to convey complex analytical findings, policy recommendations, or program status updates to various audiences, including senior leadership. This involves structuring information logically and using precise language. Experience with utilities, transmission planning, energy technology, grid deployment and resilience, or energy regulatory administration. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Limit your resume to no more than two (2) pages.
