Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your 2 page resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-03 level, you must possess one of the following: A. Six months of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that demonstrates my ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of Recreation Fee Clerk. -OR- B. One year of education above high school (30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours) from an accredited institution. -OR- C. Equivalent combination of experience and education that, together, equal 100% of the qualification standards listed above when combined. To qualify for this position at the GS-04 level, you must possess one of the following: A. One year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that demonstrates my ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of Recreation Fee Clerk. -OR- B. Two years of education above high school (60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours) leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. -OR- C. Equivalent combination of experience and education that, together, equal 100% of the qualification standards listed above when combined. To qualify for this position at the GS-05 level, you must possess one of the following: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of Recreation Fee Technician, GS-0503-05. Examples of specialized experience include: handling, tracking, or depositing monies; using software programs to maintain financial/accounting data (such as fee and stock data); performing fee collection, accounting or financial duties; and using tools or equipment (e.g., cash registers, calculators, etc.) to make sales transactions; ensuring accountability of funds and accurate financial records. -OR- B. Four years of education above high school (120 semester hours or 180 quarter hours) leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. -OR- C. Equivalent combination of experience and education that, together, equal 100% of the qualification standards listed above when combined. NOTE: Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-06 level, you must possess one of the following: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of Recreation Fee Technician, GS-0503-06. Examples of specialized experience include: performing fee collection, accounting or financial duties to include operating a point-of-sale system; using an automated financial system to perform accounting and/or financial transactions; ensuring accountability of funds and accurate financial record; and resolving software issues that arise in the remittance and/or fee collection process. -OR- B. Successful completion of one full year of graduate-level study (18 semester hours or equivalent) that directly applies to the work of the position in a field such as accounting, business, or finance.
