Responsibilities
- Employee Relations (ER)
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations inquiries, providing guidance aligned with company policies and regional employment laws.
- Conduct, document, and support employee relations investigations, including allegations of misconduct, performance issues, and policy violations.
- Partner with managers to provide coaching on performance management, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and workplace best practices.
- Track ER cases and ensure timely, consistent, and compliant resolution.
- Collaborate with HR leadership on policy development, updates, and communication.
- Support engagement and retention initiatives through proactive relationship-building and issue identification.
- Compliance & HR Operations
- Ensure HR practices align with country employment regulations.
- Assist in maintaining and auditing HR documentation, employee files, and policy adherence.
- Support internal HR audits, reporting requirements, and risk-mitigation initiatives.
- Contribute to HR process improvements and systems optimization.
- Benefits Administration
- May oversee day-to-day administration of benefits plans, including health, dental, vision, disability, life, retirement/savings plans, wellness programs, and leave programs.
- Act as primary liaison with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.
- Support employees with benefits-related inquiries, life-event changes, and claims escalations.
- Manage benefits enrollments, terminations, and data accuracy within HRIS and vendor platforms.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment activities, communication plans, and vendor meetings.
- Assist in evaluating plan performance, renewal proposals, and cost analyses.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements
- Required
- College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field-or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in employee relations (performance management, complaint resolution, investigations, counselling/advice on employment issues, developing/implementing HR policies & procedures) in local jurisdiction
- Working knowledge of local employment laws (either NA, EMEA, APAC depending on region).
- Experience handling sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Preferred
- Previous experience supporting a multi-state/province workforce.
