Are you an experienced accounting processor who is detail oriented and enjoys independent work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? Do you possess a high degree of initiative? Core Responsibilities: The DHHS Financial Service Center is seeking an Accounting Assistant Technician-Team Support person, in this position, you will: - Provide overall operational support to the Accounts Payable Team to ensure efficiency and a collaborative working environment. - Enter payment requests into the system for processing. - Review and approve payment requests for payment in the general ledger. - Process travel-related requests ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines. - Prepare and process payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable procedures, policies, federal requirements and state statutes. - Utilize Excel and other software to review transactions, analyze financial data and determine proper payment processing. - Contribute to the Department's mission by processing payments timely and accurately while providing superior customer service to internal and external customers.
