Job Summary: The M&A Integrations Engineer reports to the Senior Director, Infrastructure & Operations and partners closely with the Partner Integrations team and senior leadership. This role leads infrastructure, SaaS, and on-premises integration and migration efforts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position requires frequent travel, decisive troubleshooting and decision-making, and clear communication at every level, including with firm principals who have little technical background. Essential Job Functions for this role include: Travel to acquired firm locations to assess infrastructure, conduct discovery, and drive integration activities in line with Mercer Advisors' cloud-only environment. Lead decommissioning of on-premises equipment and migrate workloads, email, documents, and SaaS applications to Azure and Microsoft 365. Serve as the day-to-day technical contact for the Partner Integration team, acquired firm staff, and senior leadership throughout each integration. Deploy and support SaaS applications, Azure IaaS services, network infrastructure, video conferencing, and ISP connectivity at acquired locations. Own DNS and domain migrations from planning through cutover. Be the second-level escalation for the Service Desk and help the team get comfortable supporting newly integrated environments. Write and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks and keep configurations consistent across environments. Maintain documentation around SOPs, project status, and work performed. Priorities shift around firm close and migration dates; flexibility is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. 5+ years in systems engineering required. Experience with M&A integrations or integrating newly acquired environments into existing systems is strongly preferred; managed service provider experience is also highly valued. TECHNICAL SKILLS Required: Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), AADDS, Microsoft Intune Microsoft 365: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016-2022 DNS, domain registration, and domain migration Networking: LAN/WAN, switching, routing, Meraki Preferred: PowerShell scripting and automation Box content management Video-conferencing deployment (Zoom, Teams Rooms, or equivalent) ISP procurement and circuit coordination Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Network+ / Security+ MCSA: Windows Server 2016 or higher MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals 10961-C: Automating Administration with Windows PowerShell Location: Remote, with regular travel to acquired firm locations nationwide. Travel volume tracks acquisition activity and can be heavy at times. Candidates near an existing Mercer Advisors office are welcome to work from that location. The ability to travel on short notice is required. Work Schedule: This professional role requires availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. At times, the role may have early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines for external and internal client needs. All roles classified as a non-exempt are required to record working time into the timekeeping system daily at the start and end of each workday plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch period.
