POSITION SPECIFICS The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Penn State College of Medicine (COM) and Penn State Health (PSH) is recruiting for an open position for a Ph.D. scientist at the level of professor with a strong research focus. This position is tenure eligible based on candidate qualifications and accomplishments. The faculty member will be expected to direct a highly competitive and innovative research program that focuses broadly on addressing receptor tyrosine kinase signaling and its role in health and disease. The responsibilities will include coordinating translational research initiatives across the college and the department, via a role as a faculty member in Radiation Oncology, Molecular and Precision Medicine (secondary) and as the Associate Director of CRTEC. There is also an expectation of involvement in mentoring graduate students, postdoctoral and medical students, teaching, and outreach. Program growth and recruitment around collaborations is an important priority for the COM, and the successful candidate is expected to actively identify opportunities for collaborative research, bringing together departmental faculty with colleagues from other programs/academic units and/or institutions.
