About the role
Your role will provide support to the Team Leaders and Care Managers in managing motivating and coaching a team of support workers to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our young people first. You'll provide appropriate physical and emotional support to the children and young people through the work of the care team within a residential environment and with off-site activities. As our shift leader you'll be expected to support the induction of new team members and their continued mentoring and development towards QCF and other mandatory training. You'll also be expected to take an active role in ensuring that activities are completed and effectively delegated and day-to-day implementation of young people's individual program plans are carried out efficiently with adequate cover available at all times. Requirements
- Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
- QCF Level 3 in Childcare or a QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience and knowledge of working with children with complex needs and additional behaviours
- Superb communication skills
- Highly organised
- Ability to lead and motivate
