Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee a portfolio of environmental projects across one or more clients aligned with Verdantas' strategic priorities, goals, client commitments, and risk tolerance.
  • Oversee multiple environmental projects (assessment, remediation, brownfield redevelopment) ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.

  • Drive business development efforts including proposal development, pursuit strategy, and market expansion.
  • Support funding strategies including federal and state grant programs (e.g., USEPA brownfield funding).
  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Communicate portfolio updates, milestones, and performance to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of environmental consulting experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Proven experience managing complex environmental assessment and remediation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated project and client management experience delivering multi-disciplinary projects across a diverse portfolio.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Professional licensure (PE, PG, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience with brownfield redevelopment and environmental funding programs preferred.
  • Salary Range:
  • The starting salary for this position is $153,000, with final compensation determined by qualifications and licensure status.
