Lead Programmer, Dialogue Authoring

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working in Unreal Engine, ideally on AA or AAA projects.
• Experience working with narrative side of games, such as quests or cinematics
• Direct experience working on video game Dialogue authoring tools and pipelines such as screenplay editors, voice overs, scene editors or localization tools is considered a big plus
• Proven experience leading a development team of around 7 members or similar scale.
• Credited on at least one shipped AA or AAA title
• Proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine 5.
• Experience with relational databases is a big plus
• Experience with gRPC is a big plus
• Experience in C# and .NET is a plus
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.
• Strong working proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Job Description CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Lead Programmer, Dialogue Authoring to join the localization tech team working on all CDPR projects. In this role, you'll lead the localization engineering team focused on delivering cutting-edge systems for dialogue authoring and pipelines, and support related systems in Unreal Engine such as cinematic design. You'll collaborate closely with designers, writers, and localization project managers to ensure top-quality dialogue experience. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the next chapters of our beloved franchises from the Witcher series to the world of Cyberpunk 2077. We're looking for someone with strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a deep passion for games. You will be managing the processes and team in the central part of the RED organization (Shared Development Services) in order to support multiple various projects at the same time; AAA productions and much more. Daily Responsibilities: Lead and support a Localization Tech engineering team. Collaborate with the Product Owner and cross-functional departments. Foster growth within the development team and nurture technical talent. Develop and maintain core technical features and pipelines (Dialogue authoring, content pipelines and related Unreal Engine systems). Optimize and debug features and pipelines in collaboration with QA. Ensure alignment across teams (designers, writers, QA, etc.) to deliver cohesive experiences.
