Responsibilities

  • Execute and review detailed design and Bill of material of centrifugal pumps and related components including sheet metal parts using Creo and Windchill
  • Perform engineering calculations
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility

  • Experience in sheet metal design is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and mechanical design skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to independently execute design tasks with minimal supervision
  • Good to have competencies:
  • Knowledge of acoustic design and noise attenuation techniques
  • Exposure to standards such as ISO, ASME, HI etc.
  • Experience with pump testing and validation
  • Familiarity with FEA/CFD tools
  • Ability to Python-based design automation and optimization tools will be an added advantage
  • Technical Skills:
  • Mechanical design of centrifugal pumps
  • Understanding of prime movers i.e. electric motors and diesel engines
  • Strong hands-on experience with CAD tools (Creo or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering
