Responsibilities

• Understands and promotes the Company's, the Division's, the Plant's, and the Department's mission statement, values, and strategic goals.
• Promotes a quality first work ethic and attitude to provide a service of the highest standard achievable.
• Maintains confidentiality to comply with all regulatory requirements and Company Privacy and Confidentiality policies and procedures.
• Understands, complies with, and is accountable for adherence to COR quality standards in all activities.
• Safely operates company owned, leased, managed, or rented vehicles and/or mobile equipment. Incumbent is required to perform Safety Sensitive duties and responsibilities.
• Manages assigned tasks/projects within scope of responsibility so all KPIs are achieved, including but not limited to safety, productivity, and product quality. KPIs will be measured by: Key Performance Indicators Safety:Lost Time Accidents, Incidents, PPE Compliance, Permit Compliance
• Quality Control: Re-work, Quality of work
• Work Order Hours: Estimated Time vs Actual Time
• Productivity: Total Work Hours vs Actual Work Hours
• As assigned, maintains plant machinery and equipment including conveyors and all other equipment throughout the facility.
• Troubleshoots mechanical problems with plant machinery and equipment and repair as necessary.
• As assigned, carries out regular PMs on the above mentioned equipment including cleaning.
• Works assigned shifts and on-call duties as scheduled. May be required to work authorized overtime to maintain facility production.
• Supports other initiatives of the Plant to promote a healthy and positive work environment and enhance employee morale and engagement.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
• WORK ORDERS (WO):
• Inputs data into MP2 to create new WOs whether mechanical or electrical.
• Obtains assigned WOs from Supervisor and reviews with them to ensure understanding.
• Interprets WO and technical manuals as required.
• Obtains any required permits (i.e. Safe Work Plans, Lock Out Tag Out, Hot Work, Confined Space, etc).
• Immediately sources all materials and equipment required to complete WO.
• Diagnoses the source of any faults and malfunctions.
• Immediately informs Supervisor of any immediate and potential problems or anything out of the norm whether electrical, mechanical, production or equipment damage, and especially when relating to possible production down time.
• Tests repaired equipment for proper performance to assess that completed work meets requirements and specifications. Cleans up work area. Advises Supervisor immediately upon job completion.
• Documents completed WO data by using MP2 WO comments to explain what work was done the time taken and any parts used. Also records any production down time.

The Journeyman Millwright (MRF) safety and efficiently within their scope of expertise repairs, maintains, installs, troubleshoots, and upgrades the machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and permitting requirements while achieving target KPIs for the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and as required other SUEZ Canada Waste Services contracted facilities within the City of Edmonton Waste Management Centre (EWMC). KPIs include safety, productivity, and quality of work performed. The incumbent may be requested to mentor and train an assigned Apprentice(s) as well as oversee work performance of any Maintenance Technicians assisting with a work order. Incumbent is required to perform On-Call duties as scheduled and may be required to work rotating day and afternoon shifts. The Journeyman Millwright is required to perform Safety Sensitive duties and responsibilities. This position operates within a COR certified plant environment (which is a requirement of our Contract) and is required to comply with all regulatory requirements and the Client's Environmental Management System. The facility operates up to 17 hours per day, potentially 7 days per week.
