About the role

Pluxee Bulgaria is looking for a Card Operations Specialist to join our IT team and support the reliability and smooth operation of our card and payment services. In this role, you will focus on the technical side of payment operations, including transaction monitoring, operational controls, reconciliations, incident analysis, system integrations, and coordination with internal teams and external partners. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in banking, card operations, payment processing, payment service providers (PSPs), financial transactions, or similar technology-driven environments who enjoy working with data, systems, and processes. Main responsibilities: Monitor daily payment and card operations, including successful and failed transactions, onboarding, tokenization, settlement, billing, and related activities. Perform daily operational controls and reconciliations between payment processors, operational platforms, and financial systems. Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies, settlement differences, data inconsistencies, failed transactions, refunds, and disputes. Analyze transaction, authorization, settlement, billing, and financial data to identify risks, errors, and process issues. Perform root cause analysis for incidents affecting payment services, card operations, and related integrations. Coordinate issue resolution with external vendors, processors, card issuers, and service providers. Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for payment-related projects. Support technical QA testing plans in cooperation with IT and other departments. Document processes, change requests, technical solutions, and system integrations. Support Finance with issuer-related data, daily reporting, and end-of-day processor reporting. Support Customer Service by validating information related to refunds, failed transactions, and disputes. What we expect Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in banking, card operations, payment processing, payment service providers (PSPs), or a similar environment. Experience with card issuing is a strong advantage. Basic understanding of IT environments, infrastructure, and system integrations. SQL and data analysis skills are considered an advantage. Good understanding of payment standards and financial transaction flows. Knowledge of transaction lifecycle processes: authorization, clearing, and settlement. Experience with reconciliation processes and operational controls. Experience working with platforms that generate, import, and export transaction-related data. Experience in fraud management is a plus. Excellent command of English & Bulgarian, both written and spoken. Key competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
