Anticipated hiring ranges: - USG 11: $87,620 - $109,525 - USG 12: $95,538 - $119,422 Job Description: Primary Purpose Reporting to the Manager, Student Information Systems, the Information Systems Specialist (Operations) is intended as a dedicated operational support role on the team, with primary responsibilities of monitoring the support queue(s), maintaining operational processes for the team, ensuring alignment between business needs and technology solutions and to provide guidance on the development and deployment of potential solutions. Filling this role will ensure the SIS team is able to maintain their high level of service for a core business system of the organization and allow the team to position for the future evolution of the Student Information System. Information Systems Specialists play a critical role in enabling an Integrated Service Delivery approach by: Facilitating Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acting as a bridge between business units, IT, and service delivery teams to ensure seamless integration and development of processes and systems. End-to-End Service Mapping: Documenting and analyzing workflows across multiple service areas to identify dependencies and integration points Data and Process Harmonization: Ensuring consistency in data definitions, business rules, and process standards across integrated services. Customer-Centric Design: Supporting the development and ongoing stability of systems that provide unified and efficient experience for end-users, reducing time to delivery and improving service accessibility. Continuous Improvement: Monitoring performance metrics and feedback to refine integrated processes and enhance service delivery outcomes. Key Accountabilities Operational, Project & Stakeholder Management Investigate support requests, working with business systems team members to ensure sufficient detail is provided, and tickets are appropriately prioritized Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders regarding business and systems analysis activities and practice through requirements and solution design. Coordinate with project managers, Configuration & Integration Specialists, and business units to ensure requirements are clearly defined and implemented. Monitor operational and project progress and resolve issues that impact timelines or quality. Analysis & Solution Design Oversee the gathering, documentation, and validation of business requirements. Ensure solutions align with organizational objectives and comply with standards and best practices. Support the evaluation of system changes, enhancements, and integrations. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve business processes and system efficiency. Implement best practices for requirements management and analysis Governance & Compliance Ensure adherence to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and data governance standards.
