Software Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Design - Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts that cover both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Automation at Scale - Design, build, and maintain automated test suites using Selenium and Cucumber BDD .
• End-to-End Quality - Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing with rigour.
• Shift-Left Quality - Participate in requirement reviews and enforce quality gates at every stage of the SDLC.
• Defect Ownership - Track and manage defects from discovery through to resolution. No hand-offs, no gaps.
• Continuous Improvement - Spot coverage gaps, recommend process enhancements, and help cultivate a team culture where quality is everyone's job.

• Test Automation
• Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated scripts with Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber BDD
• Low-Code Advantage
• Familiarity with OutSystems 11
• its lifecycle, debugging tools, and testing nuances is a strong plus
• DevOps Mindset
• Comfortable with Git , CI/CD pipelines, and integrating automated testing into delivery workflows
• Tooling
• Experience with Jira, Zephyr , or similar test management platforms
• Methodology
• Solid grounding in Agile and Scrum
• Communication
• Ability to translate technical issues clearly for both engineering and business audiences
• Mindset
• Proactive, adaptable, solutions-focused - you flag risks early and own your outcomes

Requirements

• ISTQB certification or equivalent
• A diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
