Job Description As a Quality Assurance Lead, you will inspect, test, and audit product processes following set procedures and exercising reasonable judgment. Attention to detail is essential and requires your effective performance of a variety of quality assurance and inspection operations. This is an on-site role at our DCC in Irving, TX, with a schedule of Monday-Thursday, 5:00 pm - 4:30 am What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? Perform Quality Assurance Lead operations (within procedural verbatim compliance) related to the test and inspection of electronic devices. Perform quality inspection operations following instructions and pre-established guidelines Creating work instructions for the Quality department, in collaboration with the documentation team and the Quality Supervisor. Provide training to new and/or existing employees on 6S and work instruction. Participate in the weekly department status update meeting with the department supervisor. Provides SIPOC training Tracking weekly tasks and metrics. Provide ANSI/AQL results to external customers. Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices. Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met. Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally. Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as manage outside contract testers. Develop and execute test, plans and procedures (manual and automated). Entering relevant data and audit/inspection results in our computer database Provide process improvement feed back Work on multiple programs and in multiple QA functional areas Serve as a resource for questions to other co-workers when supervisor is unavailable Documenting relevant facts and information to support work performed Participating in continuous improvement and team building activities Maintain productive working relationships with all team members Performing other duties as assigned What are the requirements needed for this position? High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of demonstrated quality experience Ability to lead and mentor QA team members. What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? 1+ year of previous experience working in a manufacturing environment 1+ year of Quality Assurance/Inspection experience Any verbatim written procedure compliance experience Familiar with basic electronic test equipment Strong attention to detail Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job? Position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and a barcode scanner Bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, exposure to changes in temperature, being near moving machinery, and office machinery Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, lift, carry, and/or move up to 20 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions The noise level in the work environment is low, and it is an Electro Static Discharge (ESD) safe area; wrist strap and smocks must be worn at all times Pay Range: $19.08 - $30.53 Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
