About the role

You will serve as an OPERATIONS DATA ANALYST in the office of the Operations Planning Manager branch (Code 300.1), Operations Department (Code 300) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying data analysis principles, concepts and drawing conclusions or identifying unwanted trend areas for corrective actions. Experience providing administrative services to the Operations Department, analyzing administrative practices and designing and recommending improvements in procedures and policies. Experience with organizational structures, interrelationships and functions sufficient to integrate, balance and monitor the status of actions significant to Department mission. Experience effectively communicating with varying levels of management, with skills needed for written and oral communications sufficient to prepare and convey findings relating to departmental issues. Experience with electronic computerized database systems and electronic equipment and systems such as, but not limited to, personal computer, Access database, Excel, and PowerPoint and ability to manipulate data independently. Experience monitoring and measuring the level of quality in all products and services rendered by the Department.
