Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Occupational Therapist for its client's Moving & Handling Services Team in Blackburn with Darwen. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Moving & Handling Services Team at Blackburn with Darwen Council on a locum basis. This is a vital role, delivering community-based assessments and interventions to support individuals requiring moving and handling assistance, while promoting independence, safety, and well-being. What will your responsibilities be? Conduct community assessments within a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommending equipment solutions Perform comprehensive moving and handling assessments, ensuring safe practices and compliance with guidelines Collaborate with residents, families, and professionals to create tailored support plans for safe mobility Assess and demonstrate single-handed solutions to meet handling needs in community settings Maintain accurate records in line with professional and legal standards Provide demonstrations and training to care providers on safe moving and handling practices and equipment use
