QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree; 5 years experience with student support ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices. Maintain an assigned caseload of students for monitoring credit completion/progression Conduct student intake meetings to clarify the coaching role, assess academic and non-academic risk factors, and establish short-term goals Serve as an accountability partner who checks in weekly on progress, attendance, and academic performance using multiple communication methods (in-person, virtual, phone, text, and email) Conduct credit audits and review program requirements along with a map to completion with students Complete templated academic recovery plans Identify and address non-academic barriers and refer students to appropriate campus resources using the flow chart provided for referrals Support development of help-seeking behaviors and self-advocacy skills Track and report weekly to Academic Recovery Program Coordinator SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
