SENIOR BUILDING SAFETY COORDINATOR - 12 MONTH FTC Rendall & Rittner - £Competitive - Home Based ROLE OVERVIEW You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding residents by coordinating and elevating building safety across a diverse residential portfolio. Acting as the central point for compliance, you will bring structure, rigour and clarity to complex requirements, ensuring documentation, actions and communication are consistently first class. Home based and connected to expert colleagues across the Odevo Group, you will partner closely with property managers, clients and specialist consultants to keep buildings compliant, residents informed and risks controlled. This is a key property management role where your experience, judgement and professionalism make a tangible difference every day. ROLE EXPECTATIONS Most days you will translate legislation and best practice into clear actions, keep the "golden thread" of building information up to date, and drive timely closure of safety actions. You will produce concise reports and dashboards, coordinate surveys and remedial work, and communicate confidently with stakeholders, including residents, clients and contractors. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Statutory and client reporting delivered accurately and on time, with zero missed deadlines. A complete, current and auditable golden thread for each building, ready for scrutiny at any time. Safety actions from assessments and inspections closed promptly, with clear evidence trails. Residents receive timely, plain-English updates that build trust and reduce escalation. Colleagues and clients view you as the go-to expert, feeling supported and well-briefed. Audits, spot checks and regulator interactions proceed smoothly, with corrective actions minimal. HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME Coordinating and maintaining building safety documentation, trackers and registers. Scheduling assessments and surveys, briefing suppliers, and monitoring remedial progress. Logging, prioritising and driving closure of actions from fire and building safety inspections. Preparing clear client updates, resident communications and compliance dashboards. Collating data and insights for submissions and management information reporting. Supporting property managers with pragmatic advice, procedures and continuous improvements. WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR You're an organised, detail-focused coordinator who thrives on structure, accuracy and follow-through. You communicate with clarity and empathy, tailoring messages for residents, clients and contractors. You're calm under pressure, prioritising effectively and solving problems with a practical mindset. You collaborate naturally, building productive relationships across disciplines and locations. You are tech-confident, comfortable working home based and adept with data and digital systems. EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS Hands-on coordination experience within residential property, building safety or compliance. Working knowledge of the Building Safety Act environment and the principles of the golden thread. Familiarity with fire risk assessments, action tracking and cladding remediation processes. Experience preparing stakeholder communications and regulatory or client submissions. Confidence using compliance platforms, reporting tools and spreadsheets to manage data.
