Position Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and enable 4 people managers and ~30 analysts across data science, engineering, analytics, and program coordination, fostering inclusive, high-performance culture and outcome-focused delivery. Oversee multi‑disciplinary teams within global/segment structures; build inclusive, high‑performance culture managers and analysts; strengthen ways of working with technology/value stream partners Align portfolio and roadmaps to Manulife's analytics use case categories (e.g. Customer Experience, Modernized Operations, Pricing, Fraud Detection & Prevention; etc), ensuring clear problem statements, value hypotheses, and measurable outcomes. Collaborate with Global Segments Leaders of up to GLT-level to understand their businesses & demands to understand their operations & meet their data-related requirements. Partner with segment heads and functional leaders to share best practices and scale analytics solutions across geographies and business lines Drive iterative delivery and business engagement (thought leadership, laser focus on outcomes) to accelerate growth and reduce operational friction, in collaboration with value streams and technology squads. Ensure compliant, responsible analytics practices across segments/functions, aligning with data governance teams to categorize work and generate insights into data usage across Manulife. Contribute to global analytics leadership standards and cross-segment collaboration to scale best practices and unlock enterprise synergies in customer experience, process excellence, and strategy. Deliver clear, comprehensive performance and portfolio reporting that enables stakeholders to track progress and make informed decisions Maintain escalation criteria and issue resolution pathways for initiatives; monitor risk/control effectiveness and remediation plans Ensure responsible data practices by adhering to data governance standards for data classification, quality, access, security, storage, and disposal; coordinate with risk, compliance, and audit partners for oversight and assurance Stay current with industry trends, best practices, & technology in data analytics to continuously improve and evolve manulife strategies and initiatives. Be a thought leader and influence the direction of MBPS & key stakeholders when it comes to Data analytics practices Required Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years of experience in data, analytics, data management, or related field in a complex global organization. Experience in the Insurance &/or Financial Services industry a plus 5+ years of leadership experience or senior management position within a similar field Experience & strong understanding of data, analytics, practices, tools, & technologies. Experience leading multi-disciplinary analytics teams (e.g., data science, analytics, program management) with people leadership spanning managers and individual contributors. Familiarity with Manulife's analytics use case categories and the ability to translate business needs into analytics-enabled solutions with measurable outcomes. Inclusive leadership style fostering trust, collaboration, and excellence. Strong governance, risk awareness, and performance measurement capability. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to allow influence & drive change across the organization. Proven track record of managing global cross functional relationships. Relevant certifications in data governance or related areas are a plus Demonstrated ability to create a compelling vision for the future and inspire commitment Ability to work in ambiguous environment and adapt to change while managing time and workload with aggressive timelines.
