Tessera is seeking an experienced Waterfront Mechanic. Waterfront Mechanic, Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of waterfront facilities and inspecting the condition and performance of equipment and machinery for operations. Waterfront maintenance mechanics handle equipment repairs and replacement of defective components. They also install and assemble equipment by analyzing mechanical schematics and blueprints accurately. A Waterfront mechanic, maintenance creates a comprehensive schedule of inspection, repairs, and quality control checks to preserve the safe standards of the premises. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Performs general maintenance of waterfront facilities including carpentry, mechanical, and plumbing work. Performs multiple assignments related to maintenance, cleanliness and operation across multiple facilities and structures. Inspects mechanical systems and machinery to ensure proper operation by performing required maintenance, adjustments, or repairs. Repairs or replaces faulty parts such as gears, valves, seals, and bearings. Uses and installs chain hoists or any other lifting device required for rigging equipment and hardware into position. Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains mechanical systems, apparatus, and appliances, using hand tools/power tools. Maintains high proficiency in, and adheres to, all Safety Procedures and Policies. This position may be subject to call-back availability based on operational needs. All Other Duties as Assigned.
