Responsibilities
- Processing USA bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly as well as Canada Bi-weekly payrolls from start to finish. To include reviewing hours entered, overtime calculations, retro pay, benefit deductions/contributions, bonus/commission payouts and leave of absence payments, garnishments etc.
- Investigate and resolve payroll inquiries/discrepancies via timely communications and resolutions, typically via our case tracking system
- Evaluate, calculate and process off-cycle payments as needed and submit for approval
- Partner with appropriate business and/or human resource functions as needed to ensure timely and accurate entry of payroll transactions
- Provide functional support of Workday Payroll working directly with internal customers in managing their requests
- Validate new hire/rehire set up and taxation
- Handle multi-state tax allocation set up, calculations, corrections, overpayment / repayment calculations and W-2 corrections.
- Maintain and update payroll procedures and documentation

- What you will need to have:
- 4-year college degree in relevant discipline (accounting, finance, business administration, etc.)
- 3-5 years of an equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
- 3+ years of high volume full-cycle in-house multi-state payroll processing experience
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations as well as wage laws for the USA
- Have a strong proficiency of Microsoft Excel required (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc)
