About the role

This position is located in the Division of Administration, Human Resources Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and independently plans and administers the full range of employee benefits services applicable to FDIC Executives and employees. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as (1) providing advisory services to managers, supervisors and employees in the areas of employee benefits to include federal retirement programs; (2) planning and administering the full range of employee benefits services (e.g., retirement, health and life insurance, vision, and/or dental insurance; survivors' benefits; TSP or 401K savings plans, or Flexible Spending Accounts); and (3) conducting briefings or presentations concerning the administration of benefits.
