About the role

The Network Quality Assurance Engineer will support a large team of network engineers and technical project managers driving a large network technology refresh program for a major global bank. This fast-paced, global program will bring the bank's enterprise office networks to a state-of-the-art architecture for many thousands of employees located in larger offices around the world. As an expert in network operations and compliance to standards, this specialist will work closely with deployment engineers during the replacement of thousands of network devices, focusing on the accuracy of management systems, inventory, and device attributes. The ideal candidate is obsessed with quality, organized, and comfortable working with wide variety of stakeholders in a large enterprise and has a strong foundation in enterprise network technologies such as switches, WLAN, routers and firewalls and their management systems. PRIMARY DUTIES include but are not limited to: Verify that all required tools, systems, and artifacts such as monitoring systems and CMDB are updated correctly following network conversions or migrations. Confirm data accuracy, configuration completeness, and alignment with quality standards. Track open gaps or discrepancies and follow up with owners to ensure timely remediation. Confirm that corrective actions are completed and documented. Serve as the primary daytime contact for questions, issues, and clarifications related to tool updates and conversion quality. Resolve or escalate issues promptly to prevent workflow delays. Maintain a daily defect log capturing issues, owners, remediation status, and closure timelines. Perform QA on equipment documentation to ensure equipment is staged properly prior to shipment Ensure that IPAM and NAC requests are submitted and approved in time for scheduled changes Monitor JIRA for timely updates Support change managers in monitoring compliance with Service Now change requests, checking for proper templates and detail Support Project Managers as needed updating project documentation, workflows, etc. COMPETENCIES: Expertise in network device attributes including hardware, AAA settings, ACL's, and IP addressing Have network operations/audit mindset, laser-focused on accuracy and timely system updates Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and multitasking ability Strong written and verbal communications skills Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills The ability to work under pressure and with a sense of urgency to deadlines The ability to multi-task, prioritize and effectively manage one's time REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5 years hands-on experience configuring a variety of network devices Proven work experience supporting network network refresh and OS/configuration remediation Cisco CCNA or equivalent certifications from Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto or Arista. CCNP desired. Experience with NAC, IPAM, network monitoring, and configuration management systems Experience with change management, incident management, and CMDB's such as Service Now Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel in particular). JIRA experience preferred Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Most work can be performed during daytime hours in country, with some participation in meetings during off-hours as required by the project.
