Prawn Breeder / Aquaculture Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor prawn broodstock health and breeding activities.
• Select suitable broodstock for breeding and reproduction programs.
• Conduct spawning, hatching, and larval rearing operations.
• Monitor water quality parameters, including temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia levels.
• Maintain breeding tanks, ponds, filtration systems, aeration equipment, and other aquaculture facilities.
• Ensure compliance with farm operating procedures, food safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of aquaculture equipment and work areas.
• Work closely with farm managers and technical specialists to achieve production targets.
• Ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements

• Experience in aquaculture, fisheries, hatchery, or prawn farming preferred.
• Basic knowledge of aquatic animal health and water quality management.
• Ability to work outdoors, weekends, public holidays, and shift schedules when required.
• Willingness to work in wet and humid environments.
• Knowledge of record-keeping and farm management practices is an advantage.

Additional Information

Location: Island Wide Working Hours: 44 Hours/week (Shift timings) Salary: $3000 - $5000
