Requirements

• Five (5) years of experience in the information systems field, including system analysis, business process design, development and implementation of business application solutions or IT project management.

• Completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may be substituted for the required degree.

• At least 2 or more years of experience or equivalent proficiency in programming with C#, .NET 4.0+, JavaScript and Python.
• Independently lead and manage software projects and coordinate activities among business stakeholders, consultants and vendors and is well versed in the Agile development methodologies.
• Lead requirements gathering and creating technical design documents for system change within a reasonable timeframe.
• Thorough understanding of web GIS technologies and experience with ESRI and Microsoft technology stack.
• Strong proficiency in ESRI technologies
• Familiarity in programming with Python Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Architecture
• Excellent written and verbal skills in expressing ideas, policies, and technical issues with sharp business acumen.

The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is seeking an experienced, outgoing and motivated Principal IS Engineer to provide functional and technical support for Geographics information system. Under general direction of the ITS GIS Program manager, the IS Principal Analyst (GIS Analyst) will be responsible for technology solutions and performing all aspects of the maintaining and managing ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise deployment as well as analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging, and deployment of fully functional GIS applications. Essential functions of the position include : Provide on-going user and system support, monitoring, system administration and troubleshooting for ArcGIS Enterprise & Geodatabases (ArcSDE) Data modeling and Data Migration in SDE Maintain Enterprise GIS data using ArcGIS Pro and SDE Develop, implement and support web applications, web services and Mobile applications with ESRI SDKs and ESRI application builder.
