About the role

We're hiring a Go-to-Market Strategy Lead to help shape how Clair identifies, prioritizes, and expands into new markets and customer segments, while owning our end-to-end process to find, and understand deeply the potential champions within each organization. This role is ideal for someone with 2-7 years of experience in their career with a background in investment banking, consulting, private equity, strategic finance, market research, venture capital or business operations who wants to move closer to operating within a high-growth fintech company. You'll work directly with Clair's Chief of Staff and partner closely with Partnerships, Sales, Product, Marketing, and Data teams to deeply understand the embedded fintech ecosystem, identify high-potential target companies and buyers, analyze market trends, and help inform Clair's long-term go-to-market strategies. This role will begin heavily focused on research, market intelligence, and strategic analysis, with the opportunity to evolve into a more influential strategic partner helping shape company-level sales, GTM, and product decisions over time.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze the embedded fintech, payroll, HRIS, and workforce technology landscape, as well as trends and fits for Clair's product
  • Assess buying signals and market dynamics to identify and prioritize high-potential target customers and strategic market opportunities
  • Build detailed company profiles, market maps, and ICP segmentation frameworks, and determine potential buyer/decision makers and their circles of influence
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and track industry trends, partnerships, and market movements
  • Analyze market sizing, whitespace opportunities, and expansion strategies for Clair's current and roadmapped products
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for leadership in order to drive forward deal closing
  • Partner cross-functionally with Partnerships, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Data teams to develop comprehensive and concrete steps in our GTM strategy, driving ARR and usership increases
  • Help develop scalable frameworks for evaluating new business opportunities
  • Develop and action scalable frameworks for identifying target accounts, mapping key stakeholders, and helping Clair engage the right decision-makers within prospective partner organizations.
  • Support strategic initiatives and special projects tied to Clair's growth strategy
  • Leverage AI tooling where possible to develop efficient and scalable research, contact, and closing processes

Requirements

  • 2-7 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, strategic finance, corporate strategy, market intelligence, or a similar analytical role
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to synthesize large amounts of information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Naturally curious with a strong interest in fintech, payroll, HR technology, and embedded financial products
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong Excel/Sheets and presentation-building skills
  • Experience building market analyses, company landscapes, or strategic recommendations preferred
