Responsibilities
- Supports the planning and implementation of enterprise Cloud Programs

- Identify and implement cost optimization strategies for cloud services.

Requirements
- 7 or more years of hands-on public cloud experience successfully making architecture contributions in a fast-paced, high growth business with demonstrable experience leading cross-functional technology teams, planning, capital expense budgeting, and process improvement.
- Critical Skills:
- 3+ years GCP experience working in a highly distributed fast paced environment.
- Proven track record of being an innovative and pragmatic technology expert.
- Understanding of Cloud Computing technologies.
- Strong Working knowledge of one or more of the following: Python, GoLang, Terraform, or Ansible
- Experience with Docker, GKE, Serverless (Cloud Run / Lambda)
- Strong foundational knowledge on GCP and AWS Networking services: VPC, NCC, Cloud Interconnect, TGW, Direct Connect, ILB/ALB/NLB, PrivateLink
- Knowledge of Generative AI and AI/ML tools & techniques
- Strong desire for learning new tech and solving challenging engineering problems.
- Additional Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead business and technology discussions at all levels.
- Ability to review initiatives, understand detailed business processes and technology, and make timely decisive decisions.

- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in information/computer science, engineering, or related discipline with IT focus required.

The team is comprised of Cloud Architects and Engineers, focusing on overall Cloud Architecture strategy & execution, and enablement of the organization to create and run optimized Cloud Native solutions on GCP and AWS. The Cloud Engineer will help maximize the benefit FactSet receives from its usage of public cloud. The architect will directly contribute to the growth of the business by partnering with Strategic Business Units and Engineering teams to promote modernization, leveling up Cloud knowledge, increasing collaboration across the organization and helping to realize FactSet's Cloud Architecture strategy.
