The EiPaaS Developer role resides within the Operations department and is responsible for overall ownership of the EiPaaS application (Bridgegate) and its environment. This role ensures the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of 834 electronic files, provider files, and other items processed through the EiPaaS/Bridgegate application, while maintaining enterprise-wide oversight of all Bridgegate workflows. Unlike a traditional IT development role, this position operates within the Operations team and focuses on business process continuity, data integrity, issue resolution, and workflow optimization. The EiPaaS Developer (currently using Bridgegate) serves as the operational subject matter expert for electronic file integrations and ensures that all workflows function reliably to support downstream business processes. This position is an operations-based role responsible for the administration, configuration, monitoring, and support of the organization's EiPaaS/Bridgegate environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely electronic data exchange, with primary ownership of 834 electronic file processing and overall oversight of all Bridgegate workflows. The EiPaaS Developer encompasses template development for new 834 electronic files, continuous workflow monitoring, proactive issue identification, and comprehensive troubleshooting of all EiPaaS/Bridgegate-related processes. The role serves as the operational subject matter expert and primary point of accountability for the stability, accuracy, and performance of Bridgegate integrations. Functional Competencies: 834 & Healthcare Transaction Management: Manage end-to-end processing of HIPAA-compliant healthcare EDI transaction sets, including 834 enrollment files and familiarity with 837 claims and 270/271 eligibility transactions. Interpret and implement EDI files in accordance with ANSI ASC X12 standards. Build, configure, and maintain templates for new 834 electronic files as business needs evolve. Validate data mappings and transformation logic to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity. Support onboarding of new partners and file configurations. EDI Standards & Secure File Transmission: Maintain working knowledge of ANSI ASC X12 EDI standards and transaction set structures. Manage and monitor secure file transfers using FTP/SFTP protocols. Ensure secure transmission, receipt validation, and acknowledgment processing where applicable. Troubleshoot connectivity, transmission failures, and formatting discrepancies. Workflow Monitoring, Logging & Alerting: Monitor all EiPaaS/Bridgegate workflows, not limited to 834 transactions. Design and implement comprehensive logging, alerting, and monitoring processes to capture EDI transaction logs, metadata, and automated alerts for data processing anomalies. Review system-generated logs to identify errors, processing gaps, or performance degradation. Establish proactive monitoring controls to minimize operational disruption. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for all EiPaaS related issues. Investigate and resolve workflow errors, mapping issues, and data discrepancies. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions. Escalating platform-level or infrastructure concerns to IT or vendors when necessary. Documentation & Governance: Maintain detailed documentation for templates, workflows, transaction logic, and monitoring controls. Establish and maintain standard operating procedures. Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and data governance policies. Participate in testing and validation of workflow enhancements before deployment. Collaborates cross-functionally with Operations, IT, vendors, and partners. Provides clear documentation and status updates regarding workflow performance. Time Management & Prioritization: Manages multiple workflows and competing priorities in a production environment.
