Sr. Mobile Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction for our mobile SDK, including architecture, delivery practices, code quality, documentation, and release readiness
• Partner closely with product managers, customer support, and customers to identify high-value opportunities and refine requirements
• Break down ambiguous product goals into execution plans, milestones, and technical decisions while weighing and communicating tradeoffs.
• Contribute hands-on code in Swift, Kotlin, or both, especially on critical features and technical foundations
• Manage and guide contractors or external development partners to ensure consistent quality and velocity
• Establish engineering standards for testing, observability, performance, reliability, crash reporting, and maintainability
• Use customer feedback, telemetry/analytics, A/B testing, and product intuition to improve the SDK over time

• A passion for an exceptional developer experience specifically related to: documentation, sample applications, integration guides, migration paths and supportability
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial experience building and shipping mobile applications and SDKs
• Strong hands-on experience with iOS using Swift and/or Android using Kotlin
• Track record of leading complex mobile initiatives from concept through launch and iteration
• Experience owning architecture or major technical decisions for a mobile product
• Experience working with contractors, agencies, or distributed external contributors
• Strong product partnership skills and the ability to work directly with stakeholders to clarify needs and tradeoffs
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to align technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to operate strategically while still being willing to dive into implementation details

Requirements

• Experience across both iOS and Android native stacks
• Experience in the ad tech ecosystem, specifically with Google Mobile Ads or Prebid Mobile SDK
• Experience as a tech lead or founding / lead mobile engineer
• Experience building consumer products or products where customer feedback loops are fast and important
• Familiarity with mobile analytics, experimentation, and observability tooling
• Experience influencing product roadmap through customer discovery and direct user feedback
• React Native/Flutter experience
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI to accelerate day-to-day development activities.

Additional Information

Raptive is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the evolution of our mobile advertising SDK. In this role, you'll combine hands-on engineering with product and delivery leadership, helping define what we build, how we build it, and how we scale the team around it. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can partner closely with product managers, internal teams, and customers to understand real needs, turn those insights into clear technical plans, and drive execution with internal teammates and external vendors/agencies. We're especially interested in candidates with strong native mobile experience in iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin), or both. Depth in one platform is required; the ability to lead thoughtfully across both is a major plus.
