Senior IT Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Architecture and Design
• Contribute to the design of system and network architecture, covering on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid components for multi‑site environments.
• Propose scalable, secure, and maintainable designs aligned with business needs.
• Enterprise Networking
• Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Cisco‑based networks across Kurdistan sites, including switching, routing, wireless, VPN, and firewalls.
• Operate modern Cisco management tools where applicable and drive standardization of configurations and topology documentation.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and reduce risk through redundancy and segmentation.
• Microsoft 365
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and Azure AD, integrating with enterprise systems.
• System & Infrastructure
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms such as Hyper‑V or VMware.
• Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes, with regular testing.
• Operation & Support
• Provide advanced technical support, guide junior IT staff, and coordinate cross‑functional delivery to remote sites.
• Maintain accurate configuration records, topology maps, and change logs.
• Security & Compliance
• Apply security controls across network and systems and contribute to hardening baselines and access policies consistent with corporate standards.
• Required Qualifications, Experience & Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in IT systems and network administration.
• High‑level expertise with modern Cisco devices and management platforms, with hands‑on experience across multi‑branch enterprises.
• Strong grasp of enterprise routing and switching, network security, and hybrid architectures.
• Proven Microsoft 365 administration, including Azure AD, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Experience in multi‑site operations, typically more than three locations, with WAN design, site connectivity, and centralized management.
• Solid documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator or equivalent workload‑specific certifications (Exchange, Teams, Intune).
• CompTIA Security+ or similar cybersecurity certification.
• Experience working in oil and gas, energy, telecom, or large-scale enterprise environments.
