Manufacturing Technician

Responsibilities

• Utilizes test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies and components
• Enters data on computer terminal, such as progress, work expense and labor details
• Receives parts and performs audits to ensure all necessary parts are available to perform build, test and repair
• Inspects parts for defects, troubleshoots and improves processes
• Observes all safety standards and maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment
• Attends required health and safety training and follows safety and security policies, procedures and practices
• Promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept
• Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly
• Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries

Requirements

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Relevant experience would be advantageous
• Relevant internship / academic background would be considered

Work Arrangements: 12 Hour rotating day and night shift (every quarter): 8 - 8.15 Saturday Team 12 Hours (Rotate Day & Night Shift) 8:00AM - 8:15PM: Wed (Alternate),Thurs, Fri, Sat 8:00PM - 8:15 AM: Wed (Alternate),Thurs, Fri, Sat OR Sunday Team 12 Hours (Rotate Day & Night Shift) 8:00AM - 8:15PM: Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed (Alternate) 8:00PM - 8:15AM: Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed (Alternate)
