WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON We are seeking an experienced Senior Unreal Engine Lighting Artist to define and elevate the visual tone of our projects. You will craft dynamic, immersive lighting that enhances mood, ambience, gameplay readability and overall visual quality using Unreal Engine 5. What it means on a daily basis Design and implement high‑quality lighting for environments and cinematics in Unreal Engine 5 Establish mood, tone and atmosphere across scenes to support storytelling Work with art direction to maintain visual consistency and adhere to the artistic brief Optimise lighting for real‑time performance across a variety of platforms Use Lumen and other UE5 lighting systems effectively, including relevant post‑processing workflows Collaborate closely with environment, VFX and technical art teams to integrate lighting with assets and pipelines Balance artistic intent with technical constraints and performance targets Troubleshoot and resolve creative and technical lighting challenges Who you will be working with You'll join a collaborative team of 30 artists across multiple disciplines at our Brisbane Studio, contributing to an unannounced project. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Proven experience as a Lighting Artist in games or real-time production Extensive expertise in Unreal Engine 5 lighting tools (Lumen, light baking and post‑processing) Thorough understanding of colour theory, composition and visual storytelling Demonstrable ability to create mood and atmosphere through lighting Experience optimising scenes and assets for real‑time performance
