The Role You will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the retail business through effective merchandising strategies. The role requires analytical skills, staying updated on consumer behaviors and merchandising trends, and coordination with internal teams to drive business growth. The Merchandiser collaborates with various teams including buying, marketing, and retail to develop and execute merchandising plans that align with the company's goals and objectives. Main Responsibilities Merchandising Strategy Development: Develop strategic merchandising plans to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product assortment optimization. Product Selection and Procurement: Work closely with the buying team to select the right mix of merchandise that aligns with the company's brand image and target market. Conduct store visits and competitor analysis to understand market positioning. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and product replenishment to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Utilize data analytics and forecasting techniques to optimize inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs. Visual Merchandising: Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create appealing product displays and store layouts that drive customer engagement and sales. Ensure that merchandising standards are consistently maintained across all retail locations.
