About the role
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 14th Force Support Squadron, located at Arts & Crafts, within the Community Services Flight on Columbus AFB, Mississippi. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience with various artistic activities, such as ceramic molding and painting, painting with other media, fabric crafts, calligraphy and or lettering machines, engraving, glass crafts, and mat cutting. Must be able to read, write, spell and figure basic math and measurements. Must have a clear speaking voice and be able to deal with the public. May work uncommon work schedule, including weekends. Requires continuous standing, walking and stooping. Subject to metal and wood splinters, adhesives, paint fumes, cuts, burns and bruises. You must be physically able to lift and carry items up to and including 50 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must successfully complete a favorable Tier I background investigation. Must have and maintain valid US and driver's license. This is a designated drug testing position; the incumbent is subject to random drug testing thereafter. A pre-employment physical exam is required to ensure the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and endure the physical vigor's of the position.
