Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Student Support
- Deliver high-quality individual and group counseling services that promote students' social-emotional well-being, behavioral growth, and academic success.
- Identify students in need of counseling, social services, and additional interventions through collaboration with staff, families, and student data.
- Respond to student crises with professionalism, empathy, and sound clinical judgment while coordinating appropriate follow-up supports.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure interventions align with students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Partner with Staff and Families
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop comprehensive support plans for students.
- Coach teachers and staff on effective behavior management strategies, trauma-informed practices, and classroom interventions.
- Facilitate productive communication between home and school to strengthen partnerships that support student success.
- Connect families with community resources and outside agencies when additional services are needed.
- Strengthen Schoolwide Systems of Support
- Partner with school leadership to coordinate and strengthen special education and student support services.
- Provide consultation on social-emotional learning (SEL), student wellness initiatives, and character development programming.
- Support schoolwide attendance initiatives by identifying barriers, implementing interventions, and collaborating with families to improve student attendance.
- Contribute to a positive, equitable, and inclusive school culture where every student feels valued and supported.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district requirements related to social work and special education services.
- Adhere to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics and all professional standards of practice.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning to strengthen clinical practice and remain current on best practices in school social work.
