J ob Description: We are looking for a local HSE technician in Spain with a hybrid profile across HSE, HR, and compliance. Based in Seville (hybrid model), this role is key to ensuring legal compliance in health & safety, environment, and quality while supporting the implementation of the integrated management system (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001). You will act as a bridge between Global HSEQ and the local organization, working closely with HR and Operations to embed a strong safety culture, support compliance processes, and enhance employee well-being. The role also involves coordination with international teams and participation in audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Role Overview The Local HSE Technician will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality regulations in Spain while supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001). This role sits within the People (HR) function and works closely with operations, acting as a key link between global HSEQ and the local business. In addition to core HSE responsibilities, the position integrates prevention into HR and compliance processes, contributing to a strong safety culture, ethical standards, and employee well-being. The role requires a hands-on approach, strong coordination skills, and the ability to operate in an international environment, with regular interaction with global teams and participation in audits and reporting activities. What you will be responsible for: 1) Legal Compliance (HSE & Environment - Spain) Ensure compliance with Spanish HSE regulations and environmental legal requirements. Coordinate and supervise the External Prevention Service (SPA). Maintain and monitor the preventive action plan. Prepare for and support labor inspections and coordinate with authorities when required. 2) Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) Implement global policies and standards at local level. Monitor and report HSEQ KPIs. Manage non-conformities and corrective actions. Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare management reviews. Maintain and update IMS documentation. 3) Operational HSE Management Investigate accidents and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and follow up on actions. Plan and monitor mandatory training. Supervise the provision and control of PPE. Manage Contractor Coordination (CAE) and preventive documentation in projects. Participate in safety meetings and site/field visits when applicable. 4) Integration HSE - HR - Compliance (Hybrid Profile) Integrate HSE into HR processes: onboarding/offboarding, training, labor relations, employee engagement, and well-being. Collaborate with HR in internal investigations related to safety breaches or disciplinary matters. Provide technical support to HR in cases related to the internal whistleblowing channel affecting working conditions, safety, or compliance. Promote awareness campaigns on safety, ethical conduct, and prevention culture. Provide administrative support across HR processes and projects. 5) International Coordination and Reporting Regular reporting to Global HSEQ and alignment with corporate policies. Participation in corporate audits and fluent interaction in English. Collaboration with teams in Australia and the Netherlands within the W&ES business, sharing best practices. What you will bring to the role: Education Certified HSE Technician with all three specialties (Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics & Psychosociology). Degree in Law / Psychology / Labor Relations-HR / Labor Sciences. Additional training in Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001). Training in internal auditing, Labor Relations/HR, or Compliance is a plus. Experience with HR systems (preferably Workday) is a plus.
