About the role

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership Partner with the CEO to develop and execute a multi-year advancement and external relations strategy aligned with organizational priorities. Work closely with the Board and the executive team to strengthen and diversify the LAJH philanthropic base. Establish clear revenue targets, performance metrics, and accountability systems across fundraising channels. Participate in executive leadership planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives. Strengthen forecasting models and reporting tools to monitor performance for philanthropy and communications. Foster a culture of philanthropy and collaboration across the organization. Engage with program and clinical leadership (including a close collaboration with physicians, program leaders, and operational teams) to develop compelling philanthropic opportunities tied to programmatic priorities and patient impact. Leadership & Team Management Lead and inspire a high-performing advancement and communications team, providing mentorship, professional development, and clear performance expectations. Foster a respectful, collaborative, hard-working, and accountable culture that emphasizes excellence, creativity, belonging, and tangible results. Drive performance accountability by establishing, monitoring, and evaluating staff performance metrics and fundraising effectiveness, ensuring goals are met and progress is clearly reported to leadership. Capital Campaign Leadership Lead the launch and execution of a multi-year $150M capital campaign, currently in the early leadership phase. Develop campaign case statements, donor engagement strategies, and prospect pipelines. Personally cultivate, solicit, and steward leadership-level and principal gift prospects. Partner with the executive leadership team and Board leadership to secure major philanthropic commitments. Annual Campaign and Fundraising Provide strategic oversight and accountability for the $16M annual fundraising goal, setting comprehensive revenue strategies aligned with organizational priorities, defining measurable performance benchmarks, and building a strong culture of accountability. Oversee diversified revenue streams, including major gifts, mid-level giving, planned giving, and special initiatives. Identify opportunities across institutional grants, government funding, corporate partnerships, and strategic alliances that support long-term organizational sustainability. Ensure strong donor lifecycle management, stewardship, and retention strategies. Utilize data analytics and CRM systems to optimize performance and donor engagement.
