Position Summary CVS Health is seeking an experienced and innovative Director of AI Solutions Design to lead the development of artificial intelligence-driven solutions that address complex process challenges across our healthcare operations. This role is ideal for an experienced innovator who excels in designing and implementing scalable AI-driven solutions to address complex healthcare and operational challenges.The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in creating AI-based solutions, a deep understanding of processes (preferably healthcare related), and the ability to drive impactful change. This Director will serve as the main point of contact/liaison for internal customers. They will evaluate the efficiency and value (revenue, cost savings) of established processes and facilitates changes. What you will do Strategic Solution Design: Lead the creation of AI-driven solutions to optimize healthcare processes, such as claims processing, patient care coordination, pharmacy operations, and supply chain management. Process Optimization: Identify and analyze complex process challenges within CVS Health's operations, defining requirements for AI interventions to enhance efficiency and scalability. Design, prototype, and deploy intelligent systems using generative AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics Prototyping & Validation: Develop and test AI solution prototypes, ensuring alignment with healthcare regulations, data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA), and business objectives. Lead the strategic roadmap for AI process optimization projects from concept to production Solution Deployment: Oversee the integration of AI solutions into CVS Health's existing systems, ensuring seamless adoption and measurable impact on operational performance. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership, clinical teams, IT, and external vendors to align AI solutions with CVS Health's strategic goals and patient-centric mission. Innovation Leadership: Stay ahead of AI and healthcare technology trends, recommending cutting-edge approaches to address emerging process challenges. Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the effectiveness of deployed AI solutions, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and long-term value. Documentation & Reporting: Create comprehensive documentation, including solution designs, technical specifications, and executive-level reports to communicate outcomes and recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define KPIs, success metrics, and feedback loops for continuous improvement Champion a culture of experimentation, learning, and ethical AI innovation within CVS Health Required Qualifications 10+ years of work experience. Proven success delivering AI, RPA, or automation projects at scale. Expertise with AI platforms (e.g., Azure AI, OpenAI, AWS AI), workflow tools (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath), or custom APIs. Ability to work independently, influence cross-functional teams, and drive results without direct authority. Proven ability to translate complex process challenges into innovative, scalable AI solutions that align with organizational priorities. Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite executives and clinical leaders. Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills Adept at business intelligence. Adept at collaboration and teamwork. Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills. Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience designing AI solutions for healthcare settings such as pharmacies, health insurance, or clinical workflows. Background in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) applied to healthcare. Portfolio showcasing successful AI solution designs for process challenges. Education Bachelor's degree or advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience/specialized training/relevant professional qualification. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:$144,200.00 - $288,400.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term
