POSITION SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery, and acting as a liaison with vendors. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Maintaining and repairing all mechanical equipment including Hilos Maintaining all heating and cooling, systems, dust collections, and associated controls Performing various tasks in carpentry, electrical, ventilation, etc Executing a preventative maintenance program for all machinery and facilitating program execution Coordinating work and materials with vendors/contract service personnel Ensuring all seasonal equipment is maintained in a proactive manner Supporting manufacturing needs in a timely and efficient manner to help ensure on-time delivery to customers Support the continuous improvement culture through great interpersonal abilities, being a team player and displaying initiative. This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School diploma/GED required Valid drivers' license REQUIRED SKILLS Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work and communicate effectively with fellow employees Ability to handle a variety of tasks at one time Organizational skills

Requirements

  • Ability to read electrical wiring schematics
  • Experience performing maintenance on heavy woodworking machinery (CNC, lineal edgebander, etc)
  • Working knowledge of CNCs, edgebanders, and panel saws
  • High voltage troubleshooting and repair (110,220,208,277,480)
  • Low voltage DC troubleshooting and repair
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to drive an industrial fork lift (training is available)
