About the role
The purpose of this role is to support all operations relating to warehousing, logistics and materials activities regarding Alkimos Sea Water Alliance and associated sites. To manage the offloading, storage, and issuing of materials, and to assist in the activities of the Warehouse and Materials team as per agreed procedures. We are seeking a skilled Materials TA to join our team at Alkimos. Reporting to the supervisor, you will be responsible for the following: Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to maintaining the 5 ASWA Values and Operational Minimum Requirements (OMR) Safe operation of authorised plant including the loading and unloading of vehicles, containers and racking. Operation of a materials control system for site and ensure adherence to relevant company policies and procedures, to provide continuous control of all materials and equipment from receipt at the site to final issuance. Consistently deliver on the commitments made and take responsibility for meeting obligations. Determine and report in overages, shortages, non-conforming and damaged materials and equipment (OS&D) and material returns. Identify discrepancies and negative impacts caused by these anomalies. Liaise with the ASWA personnel to report receipts and any discrepancies. Liaise with personnel to assist in coordination for the safe and timely delivery of the equipment and materials to site. Flexibility to prioritise work as required. Perform or assist in ongoing audits of storage facilities indoor and outdoor to ensure appropriate care and custody of materials is maintained, in line with vendor requirements. Travel as required, including travel related to sites and to maintain links with other client facilities. General Housekeeping and tasks associated with the maintenance of Material Laydowns and Warehouses Identify surplus material and facilitate its movement through the disposal and scrap process

Job Description The Project The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year. The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.
