This position is in Region 7, Office of Regional Administrator, Water Division, Watersheds & Grant Branch. About Region 7: Region 7 This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as providing leadership, oversight or technical expertise for an environmental protection program of limited scope in the area of the Clean Water Act and/or Safe Drinking Water Act; coaching, mentoring or leading others. You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Supervisory and Leadership Judgment Managing Employees Conflict Management Technical Knowledge (Related to Position) * Environmental Laws and Regulations Policy Planning and Execution Grants Management Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines * Coaching and Developing Others* *You will be evaluated on these critical competencies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
