Responsibilities
- As a Lead Analyst, you will lead aspects of SPEN's regulatory strategy for delivering over £10bn investment in our transmission network, identifying opportunities for SP Energy Networks to deliver for our stakeholders.
- You will keep up to date on key regulatory and policy issues and communicate them internally at pace to keep the business informed of wider industry and regulatory activities.
- Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Proactively providing lobbying/messaging within SPEN's Regulatory Strategy and advocacy plans.
- Develop and lead key regulatory areas of price control, including regulatory narrative required as part of price control submissions.
- Lead on lobbying and engaging with Ofgem, other external stakeholders and governance groups on all economics related matters.
Requirements
- Previous experience must include economics, regulation, commercial or policy roles preferably within the energy sector. Other equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
- Ability to prioritise and manage a very diverse and demanding workload - as a Lead Analyst you will have the independent and initiative to lead your own project work with limited supervision.
- Ability to collaborate and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels including senior stakeholder- both internal and external.
- Ability to work across teams and functions across SPEN and the regulatory and policy team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skill.
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills to make strong evidence-based cases to influence regulatory and policy outcomes.
- Advanced Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word Skills (all packages), experience with responsible use of Artificial Intelligence tool will be advantageous.
- A track record of delivery, ideally in a relevant area of activity.
