Responsibilities
- Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Responsible for the Integration of the whole vehicle commissioning concept in the assembly line
- Lead and coordinate commissioning, planning project concept scope, timeline and budget constraints pre-series and series phase.
- Build a robust commissioning process, validate during the pre-production phase and ensure stable series production.
- Assign commissioning steps to the different commissioning points inside the production line and Finish area.
- Define and implement a validation process to ensure quality and integrity of the entire vehicle commissioning process.
- Monitor and track direct run rate for electronic vehicle commissioning
- Calculate commissioning times and validate during pre-series builds. Define counter measures if the given commissioning time is exceeded.
- Coordinate the integration for commissioning concepts for with stakeholders like Technical Development, Planning, Quality
- Create commissioning steps or quality checks for production needs as required
- Collect and implement requirements for the vehicle diagnostics in the line from other departments.
- Evaluate and enhance vehicle commissioning concepts that produce exceptional quality, reduce budget, and reduce production cycle time.
- Location & Travel Expectations :
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/ master's degree in automotive technology, mechanical, electrical, software engineering or equivalent field. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 4 years professional experience with expertise in automotive manufacturing engineering, production planning or project management.
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle engineering processes and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in advanced programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java or similar
- Demonstrated attractiveness to automotive technology, software, electric/electronic and mechatronic systems.
- Strong skills at organizational navigation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; adept at developing effective partnerships and relationships.
- Demonstrated ability in creative and strategic problem-solving, with experience troubleshooting vehicle systems.
- Proficient Project Management and communication skills.
- Highly self-motivation and proactiveness.
- Proficient in creating status reports to Management
