WORK SHIFT: First Shift (United States of America) JOB DESCRIPTION: The Facilities Manager - Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the operations of our manufacturing plant. Responsible for ensuring the facilities are well-maintained, safe, and efficient, and managing all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, security, and compliance with safety regulations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs that align with the company's long-term goals and objectives. Lead, manage, and mentor facilities teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture through direction, support, and professional development opportunities. Reports to senior management and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success and continuity. Manage budgets and expenses related to facility maintenance and improvement projects. Plan and execute capital improvement projects to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety. Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to maximize project efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies. Ensure all projects comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements; collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety. Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations Procure necessary parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs. Develop and implement emergency response and business continuity plans to ensure the safety and security of the facility. Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization. Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully. Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions. Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect. Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects. Follow all department quality standards/criteria. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Handle emergency response and first aid situations. Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year accredited college or university and 5 to 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in Engineering, Facility Management, or a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of plastic processing equipment such as Cooling Towers, Central Chillers, and Air Compressors Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and facility/ Asset management software and tools. Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical.
