Established in 1984, Banner Casa Grande Medical Center is a full-service, non-profit, hospital committed to providing quality health care to the Casa Grande Valley as well as the surrounding areas in a caring and compassionate environment. Our new Women and Infant Services Unit is an all in one department. We operate as a Level II facility with 4 LDR rooms, 12 postpartum rooms, 4 triage, 4 Level II NICU beds, and 2 OR suites. We average 60-80 deliveries per month. As an RN Director on this team, you will play a key role in leading our facility from a leadership and clinical perspective. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for daily operations of this amazing unit at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center. This will include leading, directing, developing, and implementing strategies for clinical care and have budget and financial responsibilities. Additionally, this position will be responsible for maintaining great relationships with other leaders, physicians and team culture. This position reports to the facility CNO. Recent WIS experience along with nursing leadership experience is highly preferred in this position . This is a full time, salary exempt level, and incentive eligible position. The hours for the position are generally Monday through Friday, but times will vary/flex based on the needs of the unit and will need to be visibility for evening/night teams. *Eligibility discussed with Recruiter. POSITION SUMMARY This position provides strategic leadership and administration in the areas of patient care, education, safety and quality in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position promotes a professional practice environment and develops and maintains collegial and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the institution to positively impact the business of clinical operations, nursing and patient care outcomes. These partnerships include ongoing collaboration with physician, facility and organizational leaders. Responsibilities include all aspects of clinical operations, clinician and patient/family education, customer service, patient safety, financial outcomes, and quality outcome management and regulatory compliance. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Provides leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of planning structures and processes designed to optimize organizational outcomes. Recruits and retains top talent through effective communication, performance management and professional development. Fosters a team environment by instilling a cooperative atmosphere, promoting collaboration and encouraging constructive conflict. Creates and initiates professional plans for direct reports. Communicates with staff in a manner that is respectful of the diversity of workforce and patients/families. 2. Provides infrastructure and systems to empower staff to contribute to organizational goals and achieve desired outcomes. Creates processes for sharing information and decision-making across care settings and roles. Develops strong relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization to positively impact business, nursing and patient outcomes.
